Terms of use

1.Who we are

Ticketorvia is a product of Daneus Technologies, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (“Ticketorvia”, “we”). Ticketorvia is a platform: organizers sell tickets for their own events, and buyers buy from those organizers through Ticketorvia.

2.Our role

  • The organizer of each event is responsible for the event itself: whether it happens, its date, venue, line-up, safety, entry rules, and refunds.
  • Ticket payments usually go directly to the organizer's own payment account. For some organizers, Ticketorvia collects payments on the organizer's behalf through a licensed payment provider and pays the organizer after the event; refunds for those sales are sent by Ticketorvia once the organizer approves them.
  • Ticketorvia provides the tools: event pages, checkout, ticket delivery, gate scanning and records. We check organizers' business documents before they can sell, but we don't guarantee any event.

3.Buying tickets

  • When you choose tickets, they're held for 10 minutes while you pay. A ticket is yours once payment is confirmed and the ticket is issued.
  • Each ticket has a unique QR code that can be scanned once. Keep it private. Anyone who has your QR code or ticket link can use your ticket.
  • Prices are in Tanzanian shillings and set by the organizer. Payment company charges, if any, depend on your mobile money provider.
  • Entry may also depend on the organizer's rules, such as age limits, ID checks or dress codes shown on the event page.
  • Reselling tickets above face value or using tickets for fraud is not allowed. Organizers may cancel tickets bought or used in bad faith.

4.Refunds, changes and cancellations

Each organizer sets a refund policy, shown on the event page and at checkout before you pay. Refunds are decided and paid by the organizer. If an event is cancelled or moved, we tell buyers and show the organizer's decision on refunds. See the refund policy.

5.Selling tickets (organizers)

  • Organizers must give true business and identity information, keep it up to date, and only sell tickets for real events they have the right to run.
  • Organizers set their prices, ticket quantities and refund policy, and must honour them. They are responsible for refunds, taxes and any licences their events need.
  • Packages are paid in advance, are for the number of tickets and period stated, and are not refundable once an event has gone on sale.
  • We may review, pause or remove events and suspend organizers for false information, buyer complaints, fraud, unsafe or illegal events, or unpaid packages.
  • Organizers use buyer details only to run their event and to contact buyers about it, and must protect them.

6.Acceptable use

Don't misuse Ticketorvia: no fake events, no attempts to copy or forge tickets, no automated buying, no attacks on our systems, and nothing illegal, hateful or misleading in event content.

7.Liability

We work hard to keep Ticketorvia running and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, Ticketorvia is not responsible for an event itself, for an organizer's actions, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Tanzanian consumer law.

8.Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Questions: info@ticketorvia.com.
